As the Senior Communications Specialist at the College of Sciences at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), I launched the #ThisIsWhatAScientistLooksLike digital marketing campaign across multiple platforms. The campaign spotlighted the college’s diverse student population and supported university-wide recruitment efforts. It also served as a catalyst for engaging an online community across the college’s new social media channels.

Students and faculty submitted photos for use in the campaign’s promotional video, which is now featured on the college’s website.

Social media posts on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook spotlighted the students’ stories.

Each social media post pointed to a story on the college’s website. The stories were shared in the college’s weekly newsletter and with senior university leadership, donors, and other supporters of the college.
